Sexy Female Appointed Coach Of Men's Football Team

A former Croatia Miss Sport finalist and footballer Tihana Nemcic became the first woman to be appointed coach of a men’s club on Tuesday, local media reported.

The 24-year-old Nemcic will coach Croatian fifth division side NK Viktorija Vojakovac.

“I am the head coach and I have full liberty to create and plan the team’s tactics,” she told daily 24 sata (24 hours).

“The guys know the game, but there is a lot more to do,” added Nemcic, who has played for ten years for Dinamo Zagreb’s women’s team and the national squad.

Nemcic said that there was no reason why eyebrows should be raised in her getting the job.

“If a woman and a man have the same professional qualifications for a coaching job, I see no reason why I should not get into male football,” she said.

In 2008, Nemcic, a long-haired blonde, was among 15 finalists for Croatia’s Miss Sport. She said her players “listen to me and make no problems.”

“We are a great team and we all want to improve and reach the top of our league,” she said.

John Terry Banned For 4 Games, Fined £220,000

photo
John Terry has been banned for four games after a Football Association commission found him guilty of using racist language towards QPR defender Anton Ferdinand during a match at Loftus Road in October.

Terry, 31 - who announced his decision to retire from international football before the start of the FA hearing, saying the association had made his position with the national team "untenable" - has also been fined £220,000.

He had strongly denied the FA charge of "using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Queens Park Rangers' Anton Ferdinand and which included a reference to colour and/or race".

A hearing into the charge against Terry began at Wembley on Monday, and could theoretically have lasted until Friday. In a statement, the FA said: "The decision is as follows: Mr Terry be suspended from all domestic club football until such time as Chelsea's first team have completed four competitive matches, and fined the sum of £220,000."

The FA said the commission would provide written reason for its decision "in due course". Terry has 14 days after receiving the written reasons for the decision in which to appeal.

A statement from the former England captain's management said he was "disappointed" by the punishment and would now be considering whether or not to lodge an appeal. It added: "Mr Terry is disappointed that the FA Regulatory Commission has reached a different conclusion to the clear not guilty verdict of a court of law."

A Chelsea statement said the club "notes and respects today's decision by the Football Association regarding John Terry", adding: "We also recognise that John has the right to appeal that decision. It is therefore inappropriate for us to comment further on the matter at this time."

The FA said the ban would be suspended "until after the outcome of any appeal, or the time for appealing expires, or should Mr Terry decide not to appeal", meaning he will be available for selection against Arsenal on Saturday.

The prosecution in Terry's London court case had been unable to prove that he had called Ferdinand a "f****** black c***'' as an insult. He claimed to have been repeating words he thought Ferdinand had accused him of saying.

Delivering his verdict after a five-day trial at Westminster Magistrates Court, Chief Magistrate Howard Riddle said: "Even with all the help the court has received from television footage, expert lip readers, witnesses and indeed counsel, it is impossible to be sure exactly what were [all] the words spoken by Mr Terry at the relevant time."

Announcing his decision to retire from international football on Sunday - a decision England manager Roy Hodgson said he had "reluctantly accepted" - Terry said: "I am making this statement in advance of the hearing of the FA disciplinary charge because I feel the FA, in pursuing charges against me where I have already been cleared in a court of law, have made my position with the national team untenable."

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was banned for eight matches after being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra last December. It had been widely thought likely that Terry would be given a similar ban if found guilty by the FA hearing, at which the burden of proof is lower than that in a criminal trial.

Ray Wilkins, who coached Terry for a period at Chelsea, was bitterly upset by the verdict that he believes may now wrongly brand the player a racist. "Does this brand John Terry a racist? He is not a racist. I am disappointed in the outcome," he told ESPN, while not being prepared to add to his comment.

Wilkins gave evidence on Terry's behalf at the Magistrates trial and was ready to give a character witness appearance on his behalf before the FA. The former Chelsea coach told ESPN earlier in the week how he called Terry moments after he announced his retirement from England duty.

Newcastle Manager, Alan Pardew Signs New 8-Year Newcastle Deal

photo
Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has been rewarded for his efforts on Tyneside with a new eight-year deal.

Assistant manager John Carver, coach Steve Stone and goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman have also committed their futures to the club until 2020. Chief scout Graham Carr had signed an eight-year deal over the summer.

Pardew took over at St James' Park in December 2010, following the sacking of Chris Hughton, and took a team lying in mid-table to one that just missed out on Champions League qualification last season.

Backed by an excellent scouting system, the former West Ham boss brought in a raft of top quality signings, including Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse, guiding his team to fifth place and Europa League qualification.

Newcastle United's managing director Derek Llambias said: "If you look at clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have shown that stability gives you the best platform to achieve success and that is the model we wish to emulate here.

"We're looking to build on the success we had last season and these new contracts are aimed at keeping the Club progressing on and off the pitch, as we have done since returning to the Premier League in 2010.

"Alan has done a fantastic job over the last couple of years and has proved what a great Premier League manager he is. I have total respect for him in all football matters and have an excellent relationship with him which I think benefits the club enormously. Alan also has one of the best backroom teams in the country and I would like to thank John Carver, Steve Stone, and Andy Woodman for all their combined efforts.

"We hope this announcement will be great news for the fans, whose support and commitment to this club over the years has been fantastic." Pardew picked up both the LMA and Premier League manager of the year awards last season.

How To Move Nigeria Forward – Tinubu 27 September, 2012

photo
The Senator representing Lagos Central in the National Assembly, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, says the only way to move the country forward is to enact a constitution that would originate from the people whose rights it seeks to protect.
She disclosed this yesterday while delivering an address at the fourth edition of her Senatorial District’s Quarterly Town Hall Meeting, held at the Eko Club, Surulere in Lagos .
Tinubu noted that Nigerians from various sectors, have over the years agitated a review of the constitution, maintaining that the 1999 constitution that the country operates today is still a legacy of the military, “and it falls short of some democratic ideals,” adding that the constitution is a very important document that should originate from the people, saying that her party, Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), is a grassroots party, which believes that democracy can be deepened if there is collective participation.
“I welcome useful feedbacks and suggestions in this regard. I urge you all, as groups and individuals to take active interest in this issue and mobilise support for the pro-people and progressive changes being championed by our party.
“Evolving challenges in Nigeria clearly indicates that at this critical juncture in our history, we must collectively strive to achieve genuine change. Today, our country is grappling with the looming dangers of worsening crime rates, insecurity, unemployment and other indices of underdevelopment,” she said.
The Senator stressed that more than ever before, Nigerians must strongly emphasise the need for everyone to collectively rise up and play a part to achieve positive change and development.
According to her, “the manifestations of underdevelopment in Nigeria today are visible in the areas of inadequate access to job opportunities, healthcare, power, potable water, food, education, housing and so on. Its negative effects affect every member of the society; that is part of the reasons why all citizens must shun apathy and get more involved.

Nigeria At 52: Our Leaders Must Remain Focused – Kumuyi

photoAs the country prepares for its 52nd independence anniversary, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church has charged the leadership of the country to remain focused and find solutions to the nation’s problems.
Pastor Kumuyi, made the charge while speaking to journalists in Abuja ahead of a four-day programme by the church titled: “Divine connection for full freedom, fruitfulness and security,” beginning from Friday as part of its activities to mark the independence anniversary.
Kumuyi, who said he would be in Abuja for the programme  between September 28 and October 1, 2012, which would be transmitted to other parts of the world, also sympathised with the victims of the recent flood disasters across the country.
The pastor believes that it will take  focused leaders to propel the country to its promised land in the light of all the challenges facing it.

“I Was Ready To Lose The Election If Nigerians Did Not Want Me” – Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday said that his landslide victory at the 2011 general election was a clear indication that Nigerians wanted him to rule this country.
photo
He affirmed that he was even ready to lose the election if the electorates no longer want him continue.
The President gave this ‘revelation’ during a breakfast meeting organized by the African Business Roundtable in New York, United States, on the Nigerian economy.
Jonathan however added that the electoral reforms embarked upon by his administration would continue, even as he will continue to make sure that the entire electoral process is dependent on the choices of the electorates.
The meeting had in attendance, former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair; former United States Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice; international investors and captains of industry from Nigeria.
President Jonathan said that his administration would continue to churn out credible and responsible leaders that would continue to turn things around for the country.
He said: “We are totally committed to solving our problems. We started with the electoral process and we have demonstrated our commitment in sanitizing that system, because when the people put you there, you will be committed to serving them
“I was ready to lose the election if Nigerians did not want me. If I was ready to be disgraced out of office to sanitise the system, that is to tell you that I am ready to sanitize the system to bring about investments in our country,” he said.
Earlier, former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair urged Nigerians not to always accept the stance of the opposition on issues, as they were not speaking for the majority of the citizens but a few with personal interest.
He cited the case of the deregulation and the the removal of fuel subsidy as well as other heart-burning issues bothering the nation. Blair urged Jonathan to have the courage to proceed with the planned economic reforms.
Blair maintained that nothing would stop Nigeria from realizing its reform purpose, noting that Nigeria’s progress depends on how far Africa can go.
Also adding her voice, Ms Rice congratulated Jonathan for the feat the country has achieved so far in his ( Janthan’s) administration. She assured him that Nigeria would surely get better.

Inside A 150 Square Feet House (PHOTOS)

Can you imagine living in a house that's less than 150 square feet?
Gabriel Williams, one half of the Santa Cruz, California (U.S.) company Molecule Tiny Homes, tell all about the lifestyle of "living small."
Williams left his former career of professional ballet dancing to join his builder brother-in-law Jason Dietz, and the pair have been designing and building small homes for about a year.
Each tiny house is custom-built, energy-efficient and is made with as many non-toxic materials as possible, making this a particularly interesting (and very small) house tour.
Surprisingly, Williams reports that for a lot of people, once inside, the homes feel bigger than they anticipate.
"Most people want the big house as a status symbol, but when they're bombarded with the mortgage and all the other stuff that comes with it, it's often daunting."
On the other hand, a "living small" lifestyle is pared-down and based on only what you actually need, with less impact on the environment.
This way, Williams mentions, you have less to take care of and more time to do the other things you want to do.
Williams says that alternatively, some of their customers use the home as a second residence, like a guest home or a transition for elderly parents or kids home from college.
Molecule Tiny Homes can cost anywhere from $20 thousand to $90 thousand, depending upon the size, components, and complexity of the design, but it only costs a fraction of the cost to maintain it compared to average sized homes.
The photos below are those of a house that is only 8' 6" wide by 20' long by 13' 5" high. Inside, it has two sleeping lofts, a full kitchen including a three-burner range and oven and a full bathroom with shower and tub.
Would you fancy living in one?
